Metamorphosis was born in response to the need and desire to return to reflect on the concept of a sound instrument, after the latest projects for ensembles, Live electronics and installations I wanted to return to the instrument that marked my first training and other important phases of my activity: the accordion (the most contemporary of acoustic instruments). The concept of metamorphosis embraces, in addition to the sound score, the relationship with the instrument and with the performance practice, having identified the element of the soul of the instrument: movement and the element of the soul of its sound: breathing, everything is put into dialogue with technology to create a unique piece of its kind.

In Metamorphosis the focus is entirely on the perpetual elaboration of the original sounds of the acoustic instrument in its most identifying and extreme regions and on the interaction with the live performance managed by the sensor hyper-instrument and Live electronics. Movement and sound as elements of organic expression. The typology of the sound materials used expresses a research and an investigation that starts from unique sound elements of the accordion (breaths, linear sounds and vibrations, material noises of the instrument, creaks, percussions and rubbings) that are inextricably linked to the structure and electronic elaboration formed by mutations of noise, low frequencies and textures that blend sounds tuned to noises and elements that are generally considered as "errors" or "waste" and that here instead are elevated to a new expression.

Breath, gesture, the nervous system of electronics and the technological system merge with the body: emblematic transfigurations of magical and mysterious sound elements, a sound dimension conceived from the heart of an acoustic instrument that is transfigured, distilled and sublimated.
